Asian Grilled Steaks with Spicy Herb Sauce


1/3 cup Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 strip steaks, 1 inch thick, 3/4 pound each
Salt and pepper, to taste


1 cup cilantro, minced
1/4 cupCrisco Pure Vegetable Oil
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon minced jalapeno pepper

STIR together oil, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, pepper flakes and salt in a one-gallon resealable plastic bag. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
ADD steaks, turning to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 1 hour, turning occasionally.
HEAT grill. Stir together cilantro, oil, lime juice, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and jalapeƱo in small bowl.
REMOVE steaks from marinade; season with salt and pepper. Discard marinade.
COOK steaks on medium-hot grill 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare or to desired doneness.
TOP each steak with sauce. Serve with remaining sauce on the side.
