I received the below mentioned complimentary product for the purpose of this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

I love to bake and for years I used a measuring cups and spoons to measure all my ingredients until a friend who owned a bakery introduced me to using a scale for more accurate measurements. Did you know that when a recipe calls for a cup that different ingredients measure differently? For example, 8 ounces of granulated sugar equals one cup but it takes only 7 3/4 ounces of vegetable oil to equal one cup. It's true! This one will surprise you. It only takes 5 5/8 ounces of all-purpose flour to equal one cup, not 8 ounces even if you sift it or spoon it into the bowl it's the same weight. Also true is different flours like whole grain, wheat, rye and etc also measure differently than all-purpose flour. Weighing ingredients is the best way to get consistent results every time.

I was recently sent the Ozeri Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale in Tempered Glass, 18 Pound Edition in Elegant Black to review. Let me tell you some of the great things about this scale

It is equipped with 4 new high precision GFX sensors, which provide accurate measurements from 0.1 oz to 18 lbs (1 gram to 8200 grams).

It features advanced touch sensitive buttons for easy operation, and a large blue backlit LCD screen that displays weights in pounds, kilograms, grams, and ounces (lb/oz, kg/g, fl.oz., ml)

Boasts a tempered glass surface in reflective black that is 4 times stronger than normal glass, and an award-winning thin design.

Precision Tare features calculates the net weight of the ingredients (automatically subtracts the container weight to calculate the weight of the ingredients being weighed). It's so simple to subtract the weight of the bowl just push the tare button on the right and it will zero out. Next press the Unit button on the left and push it until you get the measurement you want to use pounds, kilograms, grams, or ounces

The bread recipe I was using the ingredients were in grams. My 1 cup flour scoop measured 124 grams (125 grams is 1 cup of all-purpose flour ) Now this is only the weight of the flour, not the bowl. The recipe called for 375 grams of flour which is 3 cups.

The scale also includes 2 Lithium Batteries so you don't need to buy batteries and an Easy Access Battery Compartment (no screwdriver needed).

I really love the Ozeri Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale unlike the scale I normally use which is larger and more complicated this one is super easy to use and it's thin so it can be easily stored in a kitchen drawer
