Slice apples, Place apples in a large heavy pot. Add water, lemon juice and mix well. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to simmer. Cook until apples are soft about 25 to 30 minutes
Mash strawberries with potato masher and add to apples about 5 minutes before apples are done. Mix well and continue cooking for 5 to 7 minutes.
Process the apple mixture in a blender until desired consistency (we like ours a little chunky) Return mixture back to the pot and add the sugar to taste. You may not need the entire amount of sugar the recipe calls for depending on how sweet the apples you are using are. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar.
You can freeze the applesauce or can if you prefer
So simple to make. They are fantastic and great to take to any party.

I was sent several bags of Wild Oats Tortilla Chips, a can of Organic Black Beans from Wild Oats which I used in the recipe below.
If you have never tried the Wild Oats Tortilla chips you may want to grab a bag or two . My family thought they tasted fresher than other brands. Personally I like that they are organic and contained only natural organic corn, sunflower seed oil, sea salt and a hint of line. It’s so nice to read the back of the labels and know exactly what is in the product you are buying and with the Wild Oats brands you are buying nothing artificial just good wholesome organic food.

2. Cut the tortillas into strips about 4 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. Discard the ends. 3. Soften the strips in the microwave between damp paper towels for 10 to 30 seconds. 4. Roll each wiener in a tortilla strip and secure with a toothpick. 5. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes. Remove them from the oven, then fill the toenail with ketchup or mustard. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
