  • Fresh green beans
  • Ham bone
  • small chopped onion
  • 2 large potatoes
Instructions
  1. Add green beans and ham bone to a dutch oven or large heavy pot. Add enough water to cover. Heat until boiling turn down heat to a simmer cover and Simmer for at least 3 hours or until very tender adding water if needed Add chopped onion. Peel and chop potatoes add to pot cook until potatoes are tender, Serve with cornbread

Ingredients
  • Pizza dough
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 4½ teaspoons active dry yeast or 2 pkg yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 cups bread flour You may need more depending on humidity
  • Garlic Butter
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • Place in a food processor or beat with a mixer until smooth. Put in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Pizza Sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1½ cups water
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tablespoon dried oregano
  • ½ tablespoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
Instructions
  1. For the pizza dough--In a large mixing bowl,( I use a Kitchen Aid Mixer but you can do it by hand if you like but will take some work) stir yeast and sugar into warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes or until bubbles form and mixture starts to foam. (If mixture does not start to bubble or foam your yeast is bad) Pour in salt, oil and half the flour and mix. Once the flour is incorporated, start adding a little more flour a cup at a time until you get the pizza dough to the consistency of slightly tacky, but if you touch it it doesn't stick to your hands. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. The dough should be smooth and easy to work with. And the bowl should be clean! Lightly grease the bowl & the dough so it doesn't dry out, cover with plastic wrap and let it rise 1-2 hours.
  2. Garlic butter- Place all ingredients into a food processor or beat with a mixer until smooth. Put in the fridge until ready to use.
  3. Pizza Sauce- Add all ingredients to a medium bowl. Heat in a small saucepan until hot set-aside.
  4. Once the dough has doubled in size punch down and divide in half. Spread a layer of garlic butter in the bottom of 2 13x9 inch pans Place ½ of the dough in each pan pressing the dough down to cover the entire bottom its ok if the butter rises up the side some. Let the pizzas rest and rise for about 30 minutes. Top with the pizza sauce and your choice of toppings and cheese. Bake in a 425 degree oven until crust is brown.

  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 packages hot dogs (roll them in flour to make sure they are dry and batter will stick to them)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • wooden skewers
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, and baking powder. Stir in the egg and milk. Pressing out the lumps. The batter will be thick. Preheat the oil in a deep-fryer or large pot to 375 degrees.
  2. Pour batter into a tall glass, put skewers into the hotdogs, and dip them in the batter until well coated.
  3. Fry the dogs (2 – 3 at a time) until they are medium brown (about 3 – 4 minutes each). Remove from the oil with tongs. Drain on paper towel

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 8
  • ounces each), cut and pounded into 4 cutlets
  • 1 cup heavy cream or you can use buttermilk if you like
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 2 cups all­purpose flour
  • vegetable shortening or peanut oil, for frying
  • For the Cream Gravy:
  • 2 tablespoons leftover oil from frying the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons all­purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 cup chopped fresh spinach
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix together the black pepper, garlic powder, paprika and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. One at a time, sandwich each piece of chicken between two pieces of plastic wrap or inside an opened zipper­lock bag and pound with a meat pounder or the bottom of a heavy skillet until approximately ¼ inch
  3. thick.Sprinkle seasoning mixture over the chicken.
  4. Whisk the Heavy cream or if using buttermilk and beaten egg in a large bowl. Add the chicken and turn to coat.
  5. Remove the chicken from the bag, allowing the excess buttermilk to drip off. Drop the chicken into the flour making sure the chicken is thoroughly coated, pressing with your hand to get the flour to adhere in a thick layer. Shake the chicken over the bowl to remove excess flour, then transfer to a large plate.
  6. Pour oil to a depth of ½ inch in a 12-inch skillet. Heat to 360°. Fry chicken, in batches, 10 minutes turning until each side is golden brown and cooked thoroughly. adding oil as needed.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a paper towel–lined plate to drain
  8. For the Gravy: Add the flour to the 2 tbsp oil and cook, stirring constantly,for about 1 minute. Add the milk in a thin stream,whisking constantly. Add the cream, whisking, and bring to a simmer, whisking constantly.Add remaining ingredients whisking until thickened, about 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and plenty of pepper.

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 16 oz. box uncooked spaghetti noodles
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 16 oz. can diced Italian style tomatoes
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Italian cheese blend
  • Any other pizza toppings, you can add like Black olives, sausage, onions, green peppers, etc...
Instructions
  1. Boil water & salt for Spaghetti noodles, once it starts boiling, add noodles. Brown meat in a separate frying pan. Once noodles are cooked, drain and put in a casserole dish. In a separate bowl, combine milk & egg & whisk. Poor over pasta & add jar of sauce, can of tomatoes, garlic powder, & oregano. Mix all together well. On top of pasta mixture, layer the ground meat, then add a layer of pepperoni. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, & Italian cheese. Bake in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes

We used to buy this from a national pizza chain, then they stopped making it. Oh and of course this was the only pizza I could get the kids to eat (they are weird they do not care for pizza ) Well we needed our Pretzel Pizza fix so I got busy experimenting until I found what we think is perfect. The kids love it!

  • •1 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
  • •1 (1/4-ounce) envelope active dry yeast
  • •Vegetable oil
  • •2¾ cups all purpose
  • •1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • •1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for sprinkling
  • 1 can or jar of your favorite Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • 1 pkg sliced Pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ stick melted butter

  2. Place the warm water in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast on top. Set aside to rest until the mixture bubbles, about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, coat a large mixing bowl with a thin layer of vegetable oil and set aside
  4. Place the flour, sugar, and measured salt in a large bowl and whisk briefly to break up any lumps and combine. Once the yeast is ready, fit the bowl on the mixer, attach a dough hook,and dump in the flour mixture.
  5. Mix on the lowest setting until the dough comes together, then increase to medium speed and mix until the dough is elastic and smooth, about 8 minutes.
  6. Form the dough into a ball, place in the oiled mixing bowl, and turn the dough to coat in oil. Cover with a clean, damp dish towel and let rest in a warm place until the dough doubles in size, about 30 to 35 minutes..
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead it on a floured, dry surface just until it becomes smooth and springs back when poked, about 1 minute.
  8. Lightly oil a pizza pan.
  9. On a floured surface roll the dough into a large circle. Transfer it to the pizza pan. I always find I need to use my hands and shape the dough once I have it on the pan. Make sure to leave an edge around the crust.. Let rest for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile in a small dish add the baking soda and water stir until baking soda is dissolved. Using a pasty brush, brush the edges of the pizza with the baking soda mixture and lightly sprinkling with kosher salt. Next spread as much or as little of the Nacho Cheese sauce on the crust that you like I usually use a little less than I would pizza sauce since the cheese sauce is thick. Top with pepperoni and bake at 475 for about 10 minutes or until edge of crust is nicely brown Remove from oven and using a pastry brush, brush melted butter all around edge of crust. Enjoy

My Family loves this recipe of Homemade Macaroni & Cheese. It’s so rich and creamy topped with crispy breadcrumbs. The perfect comfort food!

I double the batch and make Fried Macaroni & Cheese Balls the next day. (I have included the recipe at the end of this recipe)

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 ounce) package macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups velvetta (store brand works just as well) Cut into small chunks
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs, mixed with 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions; set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan melt butter.
  4. Add flour mixed with salt and pepper, using a whisk to stir until well blended.
  5. Pour milk and sour cream in gradually; stirring constantly.
  6. Bring to boiling point and boil 2 minutes (stirring constantly).
  7. Reduce heat and cook (stirring constantly) 10 minutes.
  8. Add cheese little by little and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.
  9. Turn off heat
  10. Add macaroni to the saucepan and toss to coat with the cheese sauce.
  11. Transfer macaroni to a buttered baking dish.
  12. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  13. Bake 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.

  17. Store leftovers in refrigerator overnight. Using a ice cream scoop, scoop out mac and cheese and roll in hand to compact the balls tightly. Place on wax paper lined cookie sheet and place in the freezer until frozen (a few hours) remove from freezer and dip in a beaten egg and roll into Panko crumbs (you can use fine bread crumbs however I found they tend to get darker than Panko) Fry in enough oil to cover the Mac & Cheese ball until golden brown Drain on paper towel ENJOY!!

  • 1 medium-size yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 large russet potato, peeled and diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 whole stewed chicken, cooled
  • 8 ounces fresh green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces (optional)
  • 1 (8-ounce) package frozen peas (optional)
  • CREAM SAUCE
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2½ cups chicken stock, preferably homemade
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream (optional) Dash of hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco
  • Salt and freshly ground white pepper
  • CRUST
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) chilled unsalted butter
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 10 ounces chilled cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 large egg

  1. To make the filling:
  2. Melt the butter in a large sauté pan set over medium heat. Add the onion and potato; sauté for 5 minutes. Next add the garlic, bell pepper, and mushrooms Sauté about 15 minutes,or until the potatoes are tender. Stir in the crushed red pepper and add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. While the vegetables are sauteing, skin the chicken, pull the meat off the bones and shred the meat or cut into bite-size pieces. Place the green beans in a microwave-safe bowl and add enough water to cover. Cover the dish and microwave on high power about 10 minutes, until the beans are tender. Drain thoroughly. Stir the beans, peas and chicken into the vegetable mixture. Set the filling aside.
  4. To make the cream sauce:
  5. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Add the flour and whisk until smooth. Whisk in the chicken stock and cook the sauce over medium heat until it thickens to the consistency of a cream soup. Add the cream, hot pepper sauce, and salt and white pepper to taste. Pour the cream sauce over the chicken filling and stir to combine. Fill individual 1’/4-cup capacity oven-safe bowls three - quarters of the way to the top with the creamed chicken filling.
  6. To make the crust:
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Cut the butter into 16 pieces. In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, pulse the butter and flour until crumbly. Add the cream cheese, salt, and white pepper. Continue pulsing just until the dough forms a ball.
  8. Set the dough on a flat surface dusted with flour. Use a floured rolling pin to roll the dough out to ¼-inch thickness. Measure the diameter of the pot pie bowls—mine are about 4 inches across—and cut out dough rounds that are 1½ inches larger in diameter. Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Lay the dough rounds on top of the pot pies, making sure the dough hangs evenly over each bowl. Brush the dough lightly with the beaten egg. Bake the pies for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Serve immediately.

  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 skinless boneless chicken breast
  • 2 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 medium sweet red pepper
  • 1 medium yellow pepper
  • 1 Tbsp ground ginger
  • 1½ cup snow peas
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 20 oz Pineapple, Chunks, in Pineapple Juice
Instructions
  1. Drain pineapple reserve juice. Mix ¼ c juice, cornstarch set aside. Heat large skillet med.-high heat/ add oil and chicken, brown for 5 min. Add garlic,red pepper, onon and ginger; saute for 3 min. Add snow peas And remaining pineapple juice, chicken broth, soy and hoisin sauces, cinnamon and honey. Cook for an additional 5 min. or until the internal temp of chicken reaches 165 degrees. Add pineapple and cornstarch mixture, cook until the sauce thickens serve over rice. Salt to taste.

  • 1½ lbs Mutton, Lamb or Beef, cut into chunks
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 (10½ ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 (10½ ounce) can water
  • 4 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into chunks
  • 4 onions, cut into chunks
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped fine
  • ¼ cup good quality cooking sherry
  • 2 bay leaves
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300F degrees.
  2. In a heavy skillet brown the beef in the butter over medium high heat.
  3. Add the soup and water and stir well.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring once.
  5. Transfer to a cast iron dutch oven or oven proof pot and cook in the oven, covered for 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from oven and remove bay leaves
